Should AI agents email customers without a person's approval?
Not at first. Start with a person approving every message an agent sends to a customer or prospect. Once an agent's drafts in one narrow, low-risk category, such as a meeting confirmation, go out unchanged week after week, you can let that category send on its own and keep checking a sample. Important messages, such as first touches, pricing and anything sensitive, stay with a person.

What can go wrong
- A wrong fact: an old job title, a funding round that didn't happen, a feature you don't have.
- The wrong person: a contact at a customer who complained yesterday, or at a deal another rep owns.
- The wrong tone: correct on paper, but tone-deaf for the moment.
- Too many sends: volume that hurts your sending domain and gets your email filtered as spam.
Approval without slowing down
Approval works when it's quick and happens where people already are. Each draft arrives in Slack, by email or in an approval inbox, with the message, the recipient and the reason for sending. The rep approves, edits or holds it in one click, and the agent sends it from the rep's own mailbox and logs it.
Edits matter too. When reps change a draft, those changes show the agent's operator what to fix in the next ones.
When an agent can send on its own
- The message type is narrow and low risk, such as confirming a meeting time.
- Approvers have sent its drafts unchanged for weeks.
- Someone still reviews a sample every week.
- You can switch it back to approval in one step.

Doesn't approval defeat the point of automation?
No. The time-consuming part is research and drafting, and the agent does both. Reviewing a draft takes seconds.
Who should approve?
The person whose name is on the email: the rep for prospect emails, the account owner for customer emails.
What does AmpliLoop do by default?
Anything customer-facing waits for a person's approval, with the message, recipient and reason in front of them.
